Allman Brothers Band
Instant Live 2005
Red Rocks Amphitheater
Morrison, CO 9/18/05

Red Rocks is one of those venues that people travel across the country to, and shows like this are the reason why. Not even equipment problems could slow the ABB down. You can tell the band is in good spirits when Warren gives Gregg a hard time about "organ trouble" before "One Way Out," but Gregg slyly quips, "Hey, three times in 36 years isn’t bad!" The band performed magic under the Colorado stars this night, from the "Jessica" opener to the amazing "Dreams" and a mile-high rendition of "Mountain Jam." "Rockin’ Horse" is taken to glorious heights, "Egypt" continues its remarkable growth, and "Whipping Post" puts an exclamation point on the night’s festivities. You don’t want to miss this one.
