Despite being a fan of Eric for over a quarter century, this was the first time I've actually seen him. I was not disappointed. I had a wonderful night with great taper-friendly company hence the title.

My seats were rather high up but were much better than I was anticipating. I was expecting to sit in my usual taper's seat way at the back but instead I was pleasantly surprised with a FOB LOC seat which was much closer than I had remembered buying.

The opening band's (Los Lobos) sound was quite horrendous so I was naturally concerned but was very happy that Clapton's sound was far superior. There's a bit of echo but still quite excellent.

Clapton did not have a lot of interaction with the audience but came out and just proved why he just may be the best guitarist alive today. The rest of his band was absolutely smoking but one would expect no less from such high calibre musicians.

Enjoy this excellent recording.
