It sounds like there were definitely several generations between the source and the master CD - there are much better versions of this show available.
Still, this is an interesting piece of ROIO history, in fact only the 2nd Dire Straits ROIO I ever obtained.
Back during what some call the "Golden Age of CD Bootlegs", the copyright laws of some countries allowed recordings to be released as long as fees were deposited into an account for the performers. It may be difficult to tell from the scan, but if you check the back cover carefully, you can even see the ink stamp on the back that denotes the fact that the license fee was paid.
Of course, this is not an official release, and within a few years, the laws were changed.
As is typical of early releases during this period, the date and venue information on the covers is incorrect ("Recorded live in New York, November 1988") and even refers to "Walk of Life" as "Walk of Side".
Presented here for archivists, historians, collectors, and those who'd like to jam out to the world's greatest Rock 'n Roll Orchestra.
New scans made today, 300DPI and 24 bit color. Scans of the original silver CD included as well so you know you're getting the "real deal".
